What data we collect
We collect only the data needed to answer your enquiries and run our tours:
Information you give us directly, when you fill in our contact or booking form or email us — typically your name, email address, phone number, country and the content of your message. If you go on to book a tour, we also collect the details needed to arrange it.
Information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device and pages viewed. This is standard technical data gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and we do not collect special categories of data (such as health or biometric data) through this website.
Why we process your data, and our legal basis
We process your data for the following purposes:
To respond to your enquiries and provide the information you ask for — legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
To organise and deliver a tour or rental you book with us — legal basis: performance of a contract.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations — legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
To operate, secure and improve our website — legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site, and your consent for non-essential cookies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary:
With service providers who help us operate — for example our web host, email provider, and the partners who help deliver a tour you book (hotels, transfer services). These act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data.
With Google, through the review widget on our site, if you choose to view or leave a Google review — governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
With public authorities where we are legally required to do so.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with your request and a reasonable period afterwards. Booking and accounting records are kept for the period required by Romanian law. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected]
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), at dataprotection.ro.
