These terms apply to all tour bookings made with MOTO TOURS & TRAININGS SRL (“we”, “us”, “Ride in Romania”). Please read them before booking. Placing a booking and paying the deposit means you accept these terms.

Booking and payment

To reserve a place on a tour, we ask for a deposit of 30% of the tour price per person. Your place is confirmed once we receive the deposit and send you written confirmation.

Payment is made by bank transfer or through a secure payment link. All prices are quoted in EUR and are per person unless stated otherwise.

The remaining balance (70%) is due 30 days before the tour start date. If we do not receive the balance by that date, we may treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation terms below.

For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

What the price includes

What is included and excluded is listed on each individual tour page. As a general rule, our tour prices include accommodation with breakfast, dinners as described, the guide, the support vehicle, 24-hour technical support and airport transfers. They do not include flights, fuel, personal travel insurance, or personal expenses, unless a tour page states otherwise.

Where a tour allows a passenger (pillion), the passenger price is shown on the tour page — for example, €1,890 per passenger on selected tours.

Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel, tell us in writing as soon as possible. The date we receive your written cancellation is the date used to calculate any refund.

The 30% deposit is non-refundable in all cases, as it covers costs we commit to as soon as you book.

Beyond the deposit, the remaining amount you have paid is refundable according to how much notice you give:

  • Cancellation 30 or more days before the tour: full refund of everything paid except the deposit.
  • Cancellation 15 to 29 days before the tour: 50% of the balance refunded; the deposit is retained.
  • Cancellation 14 days or less before the tour: no refund.

If you leave a tour early, or miss part of it for any reason, we cannot refund the unused portion.

We strongly recommend you take out personal travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, so that a cancellation for reasons outside your control — illness, injury or a family emergency — can be claimed through your insurer.

Changes by you

If you want to move your booking to a different tour or date, we will do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability. Changes requested more than 30 days before departure can usually be made free of charge; later changes may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking under the terms above.

You may transfer your place to another rider, provided they meet the requirements for the tour and we agree in writing beforehand.

Cancellation or changes by us

We run small groups, and in rare cases we may need to change or cancel a departure — for example if the minimum number of riders is not reached, or for reasons of safety, weather or events beyond our control.

If we cancel a tour, you may choose between a full refund of everything you have paid, including the deposit, or transferring to another tour of equivalent value.

If we have to make a minor change to the route or itinerary — for example because a mountain pass is closed or conditions make a section unsafe — we will find the best alternative. Changes of this kind do not entitle you to a refund, as the tour still runs.

We are not liable for separate costs you incur, such as flights or connecting travel, so please allow flexibility when booking these, and consider travel insurance.

Events beyond our control (force majeure)

We are not liable for failure to perform a tour, or for changes to it, caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disaster, border closures, strikes, civil unrest, epidemic or pandemic, or government restrictions. In such cases we will act reasonably and, where possible, offer a transfer or a refund of recoverable costs.

Rider requirements and safety

Some tours require a minimum level of experience, stated on the tour page. By booking, you confirm that you hold a valid motorcycle licence and that you meet the stated requirements. If it becomes clear during a tour that a rider cannot safely continue, our guide may, for the safety of the whole group, ask them to stop riding a particular section or to leave the tour. No refund is due in that case.

You ride at your own risk and are responsible for riding within your ability and within the law of the country you are in.

Rental deposits

Where a tour includes a rented motorcycle, or for standalone rentals, a warranty deposit of €2,000 per bike is held against damage and released when the bike is returned in the same condition. Full rental terms are set out on the rental page.

Complaints

If something is not right during your tour, please tell your guide straight away so we have the chance to put it right on the spot. If a matter cannot be resolved during the tour, write to us at [email protected] within 14 days of the tour ending.
