Top of the Balkans Mountains

The Top of the Balkans surpassed any of my rides in the Alps. After a first day warmup along the Danube, we rode constant switchbacks and sweepers with spectacular scenery and little traffic for eight days.The hotels and meals were good; some of the roads were even more challenging than the famous Transalpina and Transfagarasan, which we rode the final two days.
